Tafsir of Surah An-Noor 24:62

Translation of the meaning

The believers are only those who believe in Allāh and His Messenger and, when they are [meeting] with him for a matter of common interest, do not depart until they have asked his permission. Indeed, those who ask your permission, [O Muḥammad] - those are the ones who believe in Allāh and His Messenger. So when they ask your permission due to something of their affairs, then give permission to whom you will among them and ask forgiveness for them of Allāh. Indeed, Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful.

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah

وهذه المواضع قد تنازع الناس في نفيها والذي عليه جماهير السلف وأهل الحديث وغيرهم: أن نفي الإيمان لانتفاء بعض الواجبات فيه والشارع دائما لا ينفي المسمى الشرعي إلا لانتفاء واجب فيه«مجموع الفتاوى» 18/268

Imam Ibn al-Qayyim

فإذا جعل من لوازم الإيمان أنهم لا يذهبون مذهبا إذا كانوا معه إلا باستئذانه فأولى أن يكون من لوازمه أن لا يذهبوا إلى قول ولا مذهب علمي إلا بعد استئذانه، وإذنه يعرف بدلالة ما جاء به على أنه أذن فيه.«إعلام الموقعين عن رب العالمين» 1/41
